Ah, to be young and in love… and Auto-Tuned.
Teenage twosome Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were caught on tape performing an adorable, awesomely bad impromptu karaoke duet in Los Angeles on Monday night. The footage, posted on TMZ, shows the couple giggling their way through an off-key rendition of Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow’s 2001 collaboration “Picture” and sharing a smooch:

The video shows the Disney-friendly duo stumbling over words and missing entrance cues—but we’ll forgive the unfamiliarity, being that Bieber and Gomez were both busy playing hopscotch and taking spelling tests back when the song was released.
And though I’m convinced this video might be better used as a very persuasive PSA on the dangers of performing without digital pitch correction, it’s hard not to “Aww” when the pair locks lips at the end of the song.
Gomez and Bieber aren’t the first this summer to be caught crooning along to the teleprompter: Jason Segel, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt and Alison Brie were also spotted singing karaoke a few weeks ago.
