Sunday night, Netflix experienced another backlash when streaming was unavailable for most subscribers for a few hours. “It was an internal technology system issue that we identified and fixed,” a rep tells EW. While Netflix subscribers logged complaints on Twitter last night, this afternoon, Blockbuster took a jab: “Netflix customers: seeing red? We have the newest releases, plus Blu-ray and games included. #helloBlockbuster http://essn.tl/q8” Turnabout is fair play.

Last week, Netflix announced what amounts to a price increase to $15.98 a month for customers who don’t want to choose between its DVD selection and its streaming plan, which will now be offered separately at $7.99 a month.
