Los Angeles police in riot gear confronted thousands of agitated music fans who were denied entry to yesterday’s invite-only premiere of Electronic Daisy Carnival Experience at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. According to a police spokesperson, “a group showed up for a non-existent party” after one of the documentary’s stars, DJ Kaskade, sent out a tweet inviting fans to a giant block party at the same site. Police responded at around 7:45 p.m. PT and were pelted with rocks and bottles when they attempted to clear the street. A police car was vandalized, and two people were arrested for refusing to follow a dispersal order. According to the police, no injuries were reported.
