Video from 'The Hunger Games' will debut at MTV's Video Music Awards this weekend

This Sunday, Jennifer Lawrence will swing by MTV’s Video Music Awards to introduce an exclusive first look at The Hunger Games, the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ dystopian deathmatch novel. MTV announced that Lawrence will present footage from Games; no word on what to expect yet, but given that this is the film’s best chance to pitch itself directly to the teens in the MTV demographic, expect at least one shot of shirtless Gale, one shot of Peeta looking nobly tortured, and some exciting just-completed digital effects shots of the Capitol, and Katniss Everdeen shooting an arrow awesomely. Because it pays to be thorough, check out MTV’s teaser for the preview:
