The 38th Annual Telluride Film Festival, which runs today through Sept. 5, has announced a lineup of 25 new feature films including Martin Scorsese’s Living in the Material World, David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method, and Alexander Payne’s The Descendants starring George Clooney. Clooney is also receiving one of this year’s three Silver Medallion awards, which recognize an artist’s significant contribution to the world of cinema. The other recipients are actress Tilda Swinton, star of Lynne Ramsey’s We Need to Talk About Kevin, also showing at the festival, and French filmmaker Pierre Étaix.
