Amy Heckerling is obviously hoping that America’s love of all things vampire continues to be undead. The poster for Vamps, the latest from the Clueless and Fast Times at Ridgemont High writer-director, has made its debut with fangs, blood-red lips (hello Rocky Horror!), and not much else.
But there is this to draw you in: Vamps re-teams Heckerling with her Clueless muse Alicia Silverstone, who plays a modern-day Manhattan vampire out on the town alongside Krysten Ritter (Veronica Mars, Breaking Bad). The cast also includes seen-her-share-of-monsters Sigourney Weaver and Clueless alum Wallace Shawn as the perpetually-vampire-hunting Dr. Van Helsing. But, sorry – even if you might be feeling thirsty for Vamps hearing the cast, the film doesn’t hit theaters until 2012. Way harsh, Tai.
