If there’s one ongoing theme in the comments section of this website (besides some of you guys being able to get some amazing deals on XBox), it’s that critics have no idea what they’re talking about and you’re going to see a movie with or without their stupid opinion. But, every now and then, the clouds part, the battle ceases and critic and moviegoer can come together to collectively agree, “Yeesh! That movie is terrible!”

That movie this week was the, uh, comedy(?) Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star, which earned the rare jewel of a 0 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

As it turns out, a movie that stars Nick Swardson and what-on-Earth-are-you-doing-here? Christina Ricci that has a plot, co-written by Adam Sandler, about a microscopically-endowed man who gets into the adult film industry doesn’t sit well with moviegoers. “Hilarious!”, “Ingenious! “, “I can’t wait for the sequel!”, raved no one. Critics were harsh on the flick, with EW’s own Keith Staskiewicz calling the film, “A one-note joke played over and over and over.”

Turns out, moviegoers heeded the critics’ warnings, as the raunchy flick landed in 15th place this weekend at the box office, bringing in a paltry $1.5 million. So not only could this wind up being one of the worst-reviewed mainstream flicks of 2011, but one of the lowest-grossing, as well. Still, Bucky Larson will get one bragging right: That his movie joins the ranks of fellow critical stinkers like Ballistic Ecks vs. Sever and Love Wedding Marriage. You’re a star, all right!
