Months after JFK’s death, Jackie Kennedy sat with Arthur Schlesinger Jr. for a series of surprisingly candid chats. Now, with the family’s okay, they’ve been released as Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life With John F. Kennedy (in audio and printed form). As Michael Beschloss, who annotated the book, says: ”After all that’s been written about her, it’s illuminating to [hear] her speak for herself.”
