The Gentleman is being shown the door on Thursday: After only two weeks in the choice 8:30 p.m. slot, the struggling CBS comedy How to Be A Gentleman that stars Kevin Dillon (Entourage) is being shipped to Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m. starting next weekend, the network announced today.

Although Gentleman ranked second in its time slot last night (7.8 million, 2.5 adults 18-to-49 rating), the numbers drop from its lead-in, The Big Bang Theory (13.6 million, 4.4) was steep. Rules of Engagement, which is entering its sixth seasonwill take Gentleman‘s old slot effective Oct. 20, with a repeat of The Big Bang Theory filling the hole on Oct. 13.
