The woman responsible for writing the highly-regarded revisitation of Luke Spencer’s rape of Laura - not to mention their high-profile marriage – is moving to The Bold and The Beautiful.

CBS announced that Michele Val Jean, who spent 18 years on the ABC soap opera, has joined the writing team of the CBS sudser. “With her vast wealth of knowledge, experience and creativity, Michele is sure to be a significant addition to The Bold and the Beautiful,” said Head Writer Bradley P. Bell in a statement.

In addition to GH, Val Jean wrote for Santa Barbara. In 1998, she received critical acclaim for the rape of Elizabeth Webber and also penned the scenes involving the 2007 rape of Jasper Jacks.
