CBS plans to announce on Tuesday that Charlie Rose and Gayle King will take over a revamped, news-focused Early Show, according to the New York Times. The current show, which features Erica Hill, Chris Wragge, and Jeff Glor, has struggled to keep up with its early-morning rivals and its ratings are down 6 percent this fall compared to last year. Rose, who hosts his own show on PBS, and King, who has her own program on OWN, would join Hill and Glor on the revamped show sometime early next year.
