The rich stayed rich and the poor stayed poor Wednesday night in the ratings, with ABC’s Modern Family setting the pace as the top-rated show and X Factor giving Fox the overall nightly network win.

X Factor (3.8 adults 18-49 rating) was steady with last week, while ABC’s comedy block dipped slightly. The Middle (2.9), Suburgatory (2.8), Modern Family (5.5) and Happy Endings (3.2) were all down between 3-10 percent. Revenge (2.6) was off 13 percent.

CBS had the opposite story: Survivor (3.3), Criminal Minds (3.7), and CSI (2.6) all posted gains between 3 and 9 percent. NBC’s Up All Night (1.9) was up a tick, but Harry’s Law (1.5) and L&O: SVU (1.9) matched their lows.
