Practically all the talk about Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has been whether the film (or how much of the film) is connected to Scott’s very first sci-fi movie, Alien. Less discussed, but not less intriguing to my mind, is very much confirmed fact that the movie will explore the origins of humanity itself. That’s pretty heady stuff — and, as it happens, the new poster for the film is dominated by a rather massive humanoid head. But if that’s an actual human in a space suit peering up at the head, and if the film takes place in the depths of space, where did this very familiar looking cranium come from? Check out the poster below, and ponder the implications for yourself:
