In a move that should surprise no one, James Franco is set to release his first novel, courtesy of the ever-expanding Amazon Publishing. The book, tentatively titled Actors Anonymous will reportedly be based – loosely – on the life of the actor/artist/writer/director/producer/host/perpetual student/clothing-optional magazine cover boy.

Franco released a collection of short stories, titled Palo Alto, in 2010 to mixed reviews and is currently involved in several book-to-screen adaptations.

While details of the novel’s plot have yet to be released, it would stand to reason that the main character will be a handsome young actor with the ability to stop time and perform open-heart surgery with one hand while juggling flaming chainsaws, blindfolded, who saves the planet from a super-intelligent race of apes.
