TLC raised eyebrows and ratings with its reality series Sister Wives.

Production company True Entertainment scored a hit on Bravo with Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Now the two are joining forces for a new docu-soap series: Preacher Wives.

TLC has ordered a new program that follows strong-willed Atlanta women with leadership roles in the city’s religious community. The women on the show manage day-to-day politics at churches, help troubled or needy congregants, and hire and fire staff. Some even step up to the pulpit to sermonize.

“With most praise in religious communities directed towards male preachers, we are thrilled to give these remarkable ladies the spotlight they crave and deserve,” said Steven Weinstock, president of True Entertainment.

No premiere date is yet set.
