Few prerelease screenings have inspired more enthusiasm among EW staffers than the one for the horror-comedy The Cabin in the Woods, out April 13. But we don’t know how much we can say about this twisty film without ruining the gory fun. ”You and me both,” laughs debut director Drew Goddard, who co-penned the movie with Buffy overlord Joss Whedon. We can say the movie concerns classic horror-film types. We can also state that the movie pays sly homage to such bloody flicks as The Evil Dead in a way that may make it difficult to view them in the same way again. But if you want to know more? ”There is a point where you just say, ‘If you like having fun, go see it,”’ says Goddard.
