Oscars: 'The Big Bang Theory' star Melissa Rauch wins EW.com's first annual Celebrity Pool

The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch won EW.com’s first annual Celebrity Oscar Pool by picking 20 out of the 24 winners. “I credit my success in this pool to mathematical techniques I learned from the Best Picture-nominated film Moneyball,” Rauch says. “It was an honor just to participate, and I share this big win with my fellow Oscar Poolers… and Brad Pitt.”

After checking out the stars’ ballots, readers expected Psych’s James Roday to be crowned winner of the pool, but he came in second with 13 correct predictions. Community’s Yvette Nicole Brown and Glee’s Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Ushkowitz tied for third. The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik and Psych’s Dulé Hill tied for last place. (In Hill’s defense, he had warned us that he’d hardly seen any of the films because he’s on Broadway in Stick Fly. “Solely relying on pseudo-psychic partnership abilities that I really don’t have,” he said.)

Twenty out of 24 – impressive, right? Rauch also would have won our EW.com staff pool with that showing. Our winner only got 19 right. What was the winning number in your pool?
