ABC’s newest drama series GCB got off to a merely OK start on Sunday night.

Though GCB (7.6 million viewers, 2.2) posted the network’s best 10 p.m. series rating since October and ranked second in the hour, the Texas-based soap was down 29 percent from the debut of Pan Am in the slot.

Nonetheless, ABC won the night thanks to the return of Once Upon a Time (10.6 million, 3.4), up 10 percent fro a couple weeks ago. And Desperate Housewives (8.2 million, 2.5) up 14 percent.

CBS ranked second with Amazing Race (10.4 million, 2.8) climbing 28 percent after facing the Oscars last week. Good Wife (9.7 million, 1.8) was down 14 percent from two weeks ago and CSI: Miami (10 million, 2.0) was off 9 percent.

Fox’s comedy block was roughly on par, most notably Napoleon Dynamite (4 million, 2.0), which had a modestly rated season finale.

NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice (6.6 million, 2.3) rebounded 28 percent from last week.
