Much like the run up to its first trailer in December, the upcoming second trailer for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has its own 20-second teaser. It features a few new blink-and-you’ll-miss-them glimpses of the film, primarily of the vast-foreboding-alien-planet-landscape variety. Everything about the teaser for the new trailer effectively, well, teases me to want to see the full new trailer, but the claim that Prometheus is “the most anticipated movie of the year” doesn’t quite stand up to scrutiny. I’m fairly certain The AvengersThe Dark Knight Rises, and The Hobbit have all staked claims to that title too, and, besides, if Scott’s quasi-prequel to Alien really is so eagerly awaited, do we really need to hype it so much?
