It’s another homecoming for an American Idol season 10 alum: Stefano Langonereveals to E! Online, that he’s scheduled to perform his new single,  “I’m On A Roll” on the Thursday, April 26 American Idol results show. “I’m a little nervous but so excited for the opportunity,” says Stefano about his return. “It will be almost a year to the day since I was last on.” The single drops on iTunes April 24. Hollywood Records is planning to release Stefano’s debut album this summer.

Daughtry’s new single, “Outta My Head” now has a brand new music video (embedded below), which features frontman, and season 5 Idol alum, Chris Daughtry stalking a beautiful woman across town. (Hey…isn’t the guy married?) Don’t be alarmed— the video concludes with a very cute twist.

“We just wanted to get back to real music,” season 5 Idol alum Elliott Yamin tells USA Today about his new retro-soul album, Let’s Get to What’s Real. “Soul music is right in my wheelhouse. That’s kind of what I grew up on. We just wanted to get back to real musicianship-and make it soulful, organic, raw. I think we accomplished all that.”  Elliott’s third studio album was released independently this week. Hear the new song “Downtown” below:

A new musical thriller, written by horror writer Stephen King and musician John Mellencamp, starring season 1 runner-up Justin Guarini opens April 11 at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia.  The production also stars Shuler Hensley and Emily Skinner. For tickets, contact the Alliance Theatre.

Season 9 Idol champ Lee DeWyze, currently working on his next album for release later this year, posted a clip of himself singing the song “Breathing In” to YouTube this week.

Haley Reinhart has been confirmed for the 2012 Lolapalooza festival taking place Aug. 3-5 in Grant Park, Chicago. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath Black Keys and Jack White have main stage slots.  Check out the Lolapalooza website for more information.

Season 10 Idol James Durbin stopped by What’s Trending this week to perform his new single “Right Behind You” (embedded below).

“It’s really cool, especially coming off a show like American Idol,” Durbin told SoundSpike in reference to his putting out a hard rock album, Memories of a Beautiful Disaster. “It comes with pop. When you think of Idol, you think of bubble gum pop and everything that comes with that. I really stayed true to who I was. That’s who I am again. What you see is what you get. My faithful, my fans — The Outcast Army — are behind me all the way. It’s great to be accepted in the rock industry as much as I am. I couldn’t have asked for more. That’s what we’re here to do. We’re here to work our asses off and be accepted completely. That’s the plan.”

What a difference a few years — and an American Idol crown — can make. Season 4 Idol winner Carrie Underwood, featured in the ‘What People Earn’ issue of Parade, went from making $15,980 as a waitress in 2004, according to the magazine, to a current reported income of about $20 million.

Season 9 Idol Andrew Garcia, known for his ability to re-arrange classic pop songs, (he famously covered Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up” during Hollywood Week) uploaded an acoustic version of Justin Bieber’s latest hit, “Boyfriend,” this week. (That’s his collaborator, J.R. Aquino, accompanying him.)

Ousted American Idol finalist Deandre Brackensick stopped by Live! With Kelly on Monday to sing the song he did for his last Idol performance, “I Like It” by Debarge. The appearance was one of many on the sweet falsetto singer’s farewell media tour, which also took him to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Today, Anderson, and MTV. Brackensick will head back home to San Jose, Calif., before returning to Los Angeles for tour rehearsals and the Idol finale on May 22 and 23.
