The Great Broadcast Ratings Bummer of ‘12 continued Wednesday night with more shows sinking to their lowest numbers of the season.
But the return of ABC’s Revenge came back pretty solid. Picking up after seven weeks off the air, Revenge (7.6 million viewers, 2.3 adults 18-49 rating) was down 4 percent – which isn’t bad considering some of the dramatic ratings drops we’ve seen on other shows over the past couple months, particularly those that had the audacity to take a multi-week breather. Revenge won 10 p.m., though main competitor CSI was a repeat.
Wish I had better news for the second week of Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23 (6.6 million, 2.6), though. The comedy fell 10 percent from last week’s premiere. It’s lead-in Modern Family (10.1 million, 4.0) was only off 5 percent (and a season low). Suburgatory (5.8 million, 2.0 and ditto) was also down 5 percent.
Fox’s American Idol (16.5 million, 4.7) was down 4 percent. CBS’ Survivor (9.4 million, 2.7) held steady. NBC had Off Their Rockers (6.2 million, 1.7), up 6 percent, a steady Best Friends Forever (3.2 million, 0.9), Rock Center (2.9 million, 0.7), and a series low Law & Order: SVU (5.7 million, 1.5).
