Here’s someone Lindsay Lohan shouldn’t be expecting any congratulatory flowers from regarding her recent casting news: Rosie O’Donnell heatedly slammed Lohan’s casting as Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime biopic this morning on the Today show.
Marking her first television appearance since OWN cancelled her talk show last month, O’Donnell was sitting on the show’s “Professionals” panel with Star Jones and Donny Deutsch when Matt Lauer asked the trio to comment on Lohan playing Elizabeth Taylor.
“I think she needs a lot of help,” O’Donnell said. “She’s had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL. I think she’s not in a place to work.”
Watch the exchange after the jump; the conversation kicks off at 8:00.

PopWatchers, with O’Donnell’s recent cancellation, if this a case of the pot calling the kettle black? Do you agree with her vehemence?
