Virgin America airport gate pays tribute to Beastie Boys

(Reddit user kerelberel)

“No Sleep Till Dulles” just wouldn’t have packed the same punch. A Reddit user posted a photo today of one airport’s inventive homage to recently deceased Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch, altering the information screen for a Virgin America flight from San Francisco to Washington Dulles to pay tribute with re-imagined lyrics to one of the group’s most famous songs, “Fight for Your Right.”

Although EW is still awaiting confirmation from Virgin America (to figure out whether the photo is real or doctored), the homage is a fun, saccharine way to celebrate the infectious tunes that Yauch and the Boys gave us in the ’80s and ’90s. Still, there’s no word on whether the flight attendants sang “So What’cha Want” during beverage service.
