'Teen Wolf' cast talks season 2: If you thought the first episode was good...

When EW visited the Atlanta set of Teen Wolf a few months back, the cast was five episodes into filming the second season, which kicked off last night after the MTV Movie Awards. (Read our take here.)

Of course, the secrets of the season – like what EXACTLY is going on with Lydia (Holland Roden) and what havoc is in store now that Allison’s hunter grandpa is in town – were kept under wraps when the cast sat down with us. But fans will find out soon enough, according to Roden. “Episodes two and three really get into what happened,” she said, staying mum on the specifics of Lydia’s monster affliction. But more awesome moments are on the way for Lydia and Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), who last night stood by his friend/love interest even as she engaged in mysterious, naked escapades. “There are some dates, but I would more call them forced hang-out occasions,” O’Brien said. “It’s not like Lydia and [Stiles] go on a nice candlelit dinner, and I walk her home and kiss her goodnight.” Because that would be too simple, and if there’s anything in store for the rest of the season, it’s a host of complications.

The same can be said for the show’s main pair – Scott (Tyler Posey) and Allison (Crystal Reed). After getting pretty hot and heavy in the premiere, there’s trouble ahead as Allison starts to learn more about the threats around her, said Reed. (And we guess grandpa has something to do with that.) “She doesn’t want to believe [Scott]’s bad. But then some really bad things start happening. And she turns into this Lara Croft/Sarah Connor-type character,” Reed said. “We see her going from a really sweet girl to a little bit of a badass… It happens in the latter part of the season.”
