CBS Television Distribution is hoping a blast from the past can add some flavor to the late-night lineup.
The company has tapped comedian Arsenio Hall to develop a syndicated late-night talk show, set to debut fall 2013.
Tribune Broadcasting will partner with CTD for the project. Hall’s last late-night talker, The Arsenio Hall Show (1989-1994), was produced by what later became CTD.
Most recently, Hall was seen on Celebrity Apprentice, where he walked away victorious, beating out former American Idol contestant Clay Aiken.
