The Miami vs. Oklahoma City showdown is proving to be a ratings slam dunk for ABC.

Through three games, the 2012 NBA Finals between the Heat and the Thunder marks the highest-rated pro basketball Finals since 2004.

Based on overnight household ratings, the games have averaged an 11.3 rating, up 5 percent from last year (which saw the Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat). Sunday’s Game 3 was down a bit, with a 10.4 average, but is nonetheless expected to rank as the night’s highest-rated program once the national ratings are released. The Finals continue Tuesday night with Game 4 on ABC.
