In a promotional campaign video, the “First Couple” recalls watching Spike Lee’s 1989 film Do the Right Thing on their first date.

According to Michelle Obama, President Obama showed her ”all facets of his character” during their outing. The duo spent the entire day together: They lunched in the courtyard at the Art Institute of Chicago and strolled down Michigan Avenue before watching the then newly released, critically acclaimed flick.

”He was hip, cutting edge, cultural, sensitive,” Michelle recalls.

”Take tips gentlemen,” President Obama says, looking straight at the camera, smugly.

The video promotes ”Dinner with Barack,” a competition offering three winners and their guests round-trip tickets, hotel accommodations and dinner with the President. Tomorrow is the last day to register.
