'Dark Knight Rises' TV spot: Catwoman to the rescue

Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman gets an extra-special showcase in the latest TV advertisement for The Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie about steroidal anarchists with breathing masks or whatever. “You don’t stand a chance against these guys,” says Anne-Cat. “With your help, I might,” says Bale-Bat. Watch the trailer:

Yo, roll with me on this for a second, but what if Catwoman’s real name – “Selina Kyle” – is a pseudonym? What if the woman we think is Catwoman is actually a woman who is used to juggling several different identities… a woman born to the middle class but raised to the aristocracy… a woman who, like Bruce Wayne, had her entire life pulled out from under her when she was still young? What I’m saying is: Is it possible that Dark Knight Rises is actually a stealth threequel to The Princess Diaries? BWWWAAAAMMMPPPP!
