This is a nice way to bounce back from the cancellation of NBC’s Bent: Amanda Peet will guest star on CBS’ The Good Wife this fall in a multi-episode arc. She’ll play a military lawyer who hires Alicia to help her sue a contract worker for attempted sexual assault. Peet’s character and Alicia then become friends.

The Good Wife has been in production on season 4 since the end of June, and the casting office has been busy. In addition to Peet, Maura Tierney, Nathan Lane, and Kristin Chenoweth have been tapped to recur. British actor Marc Warren (Hustle) won the coveted role of Kalinda’s husband.
