Kevin Hart to host the MTV VMAs, releases announcement video with Kimye

Are you ready for the KKK to invade the MTV VMAs next month?

No, not that KKK – we mean host Kevin Hart and his besties Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. The trio released a video on MTV.com today announcing that comedian and Think Like a Man star Hart would be hosting the Sept. 6 awards ceremony.

Given how strongly his stand-up specials perform, not to mention his role in this spring’s sleeper hit Think, it makes sense he’s finally going to get a large national platform. Hart, of course, has experience with these sort of events – he hosted last year’s BET Awards.

In the video, he pitches nicknames that he and Kimye can use collectively, starting with Kevyekim and ending with KKK. (Hart to Kardashian: “You got a white hoodie?”) Check it out in the video below:

Do you guys think Hart will make a good host, or is there someone else you think should be taking the mic this year?
