Pulling players from Call of Duty‘s front-lines is no easy task — just ask all the me-too military shooters that have tried. Medal of Honor: Warfighter, however, aims to offer an alternative to Activision’s blockbuster by forgoing its competition’s Michael Bay-shaming spectacle in favor of an experience more grounded in realism. In the boots of Tier 1 operators — the military’s real-life super soldiers — players tackle missions inspired by actual terrorist-thwarting events.

In this gameplay preview video made exclusively for EW, we’re introduced to “Old Friends”, a single-player campaign mission that sees bobsled tracks become battlegrounds as the Tier 1 chase a bomb-maker through a rundown Sarajevo sporting village. Watch it below:
