The Art of Men

Genre: Memoir; Author: Kirstie Alley; Publisher: Atria

It really bugs me that such a gifted comedian and actress has reduced her life to the men in it — husbands, costars, boyfriends, decorators — each of whom gets his own chapter. Every now and then Alley sneaks in a revealing snippet about herself in The Art of Men (John Travolta ”was the love of my life”), but mostly she uses the man gimmick to blithely skirt some of the bigger issues in her life, like Scientology.
