G.I. Joe: Retaliation was famously slated to hit theaters in June, a release date that would have made it the fifth movie starring emergent superstar Channing Tatum. Just one problem: as the early trailers for Retaliation implied, Tatum wasn’t in the movie very much. That, along with the apparent thirst for some of that sweet 3-D cash, led Paramount to push the toy-soldier sequel into 2013. A new trailer for the movie has just arrived, and curiously, it’s not all that different from the Retaliation trailer that appeared almost exactly a year ago. It does feature a new scene with Channing Tatum, a joke about North Korea, and notably less dubstep. So it’s got that going for it. Which is nice. Watch the new trailer:
