Zachary Quinto has managed to somehow become even more endearing (You might be thinking, how is that possible when most of his characters are so sinister? And yet it is … ). Starting today, he is starring in the worldwide digital release of a short film called Dog Eat Dog.
The true story of how Quinto found his first dog, it is a
tail tale of determination as he outwits another potential dog owner (actor Philip Baker Hall) who hopes to adopt the same puppy.
“This story is very close to all of us, as we have all rescued or fostered dogs over the years,” Quinto said of the film and its contributors in a statement.

The story started as a great dinner party anecdote, according to director Sian Heder, then became a script for the offbeat movie about shelter adoption.
The short film will be featured on Petsami, a YouTube channel dedicated exclusively to adorable animal videos.
A wildly successful Kickstarter campaign raised over $30,000 to fund the film – part of which was donated to the Los Angeles pet shelter system.
