If this year’s winner of the Westminster Dog Show taught us anything, it’s that what you name your dog really does matter. Meet this year’s triumphant pup: Banana Joe! As a 5-year-old Affenpinscher, Banana Joe took home the top prize on Tuesday night, defeating second-place winner Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect, an Old English Sheepdog.

Banana Joe also taught us that size doesn’t matter. According to People, this is the first time Joe’s miniature breed has taken first place at Westminster. But Joe himself is no stranger to victory. After winning best in show 86 times in his career, the Westminster Dog Show was Joe’s final competition. If you want to see Banana Joe for yourself, you can catch him enjoying retirement in the Netherlands. Or, you can buy tickets to tonight’s New York performance of The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Banana Joe will be making his Broadway debut in the canine role of “Macaco.”
