'Dallas' marathon prepares you for next week's 'end of J.R. Ewing'

Dallas Larry Hagman

(Skip Bolen/TNT)

As the promo for Larry Hagman’s final episode on March 4 promises: “All his schemes, all his double-crossing, all his deceptions, lead to the moment you can’t miss – the end of J.R. Ewing.”

If you haven’t been watching the TNT reboot (Mondays at 9 p.m. ET), you can catch up with a marathon of season 2’s first six episode now on the show’s site and through the TNT mobile app. The March 4 episode will be added the day after it airs, as the marathon opportunity continues leading up to the March 11 episode, J.R.’s funeral, which will bring back more faces from the original series. “It will be funny and appropriate to J.R., but it will also be sad because his family loved him,” executive producer Cynthia Cidre told EW. “As do the fans.”

Watch the promo below. If you have been watching the new Dallas, odds are it’ll make you tear up. And possibly eat a sleeve of Girl Scout cookies with milk because a piece of your youth is gone.
