Whether you’re a fan of the Metal Gear Solid franchise or just someone who enjoys having your mind blown out of your skull into space, you should definitely watch the trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Because it is five-plus minutes of insanity. Like, yellow explosions and prosthetic hook-arms and burning horses and some kind of flying robot-whale eating a helicopter and blue explosions and Kiefer Sutherland saying “On your feet, soldier!” and flashbacks and flashforwards and maybe it’s all just a coma dream or maybe the whole Metal Gear Solid franchise up until now was a coma dream? Also, the whole thing is set to a song by Garbage. For real, just watch it:

Sadly, David Hayter — the voice of Solid Snake and various other characters named Snake — is apparently not involved in the new game. But seriously, this could all be an elaborate prank played on humanity by alien space-gods, so stay tuned for further developments.
