Neil Gaiman reads from Lemony Snicket and Jon Klassen's 'The Dark' -- EXCLUSIVE AUDIO CLIP

The Dark

Are you afraid of The Dark? So is Laszlo, the young protagonist of Lemony Snicket’s new children’s book, illustrated by 2013 Caldecott Medal winner Jon Klassen.

During the day, the sun holds the dark at bay, but as night creeps closer, fear sets in and Laszlo fights the dark the only way he can: with a nightlight. But Laszlo can’t stay hidden from the dark forever… Check out an exclusive clip from the audio book, read by best-selling author Neil Gaiman, below. After all, who better to help you face the unknown?

Klassen recently took home the Caldecott Medal for This Is Not My Hat, his follow-up to 2011’s equally excellent I Want My Hat Back. Snicket is the best-selling author of A Series of Unfortunate Events. His books have sold over 60 million copies worldwide.

The Dark hits shelves April 2.
