Think Sister Sister, minus one sister: The Game‘s Tia Mowry-Hardrict, best known for starring opposite her sister Tamara in a variety of projects including the reality show Tia & Tamara — which returns to the Style Network this summer — is striking out on her own in a new sitcom.

Instant Mom will star Mowry-Hardrict as Stephanie, a party girl who inherits three stepchildren when she marries an older man (Michael Boatman). Moesha‘s Sheryl Lee Ralph also stars as Stephanie’s mother Maggie.

13 episodes of the comedy will air on NickMom, Nickelodeon’s primetime TV block aimed at mothers. “Instant Mom is the perfect addition to our NickMom nighttime comedy block designed to let moms unwind from the day and laugh at the often hilarious experiences of parenthood,” NickMom senior vice president Bronwen O’Keefe said in a statement. “This show has a fantastic cast and at the center is Tia bringing all her warmth and talent to this funny and relatable character.”

Instant Mom will hit the airwaves later this year, though a specific premiere date has yet to be announced.
