Dancing With the Stars’ eliminated pair spoke to EW after the show:
After fainting this week and underperforming in her symbolic Best Year of My Life cha cha cha, Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump is going home.
Her Old Hollywood-style, graceful faint was the result of a lot of hard work catching up with her immune system.
“Last week after I spoke to you we caught the red eye after a two-day show, worked for Bravo ‘til midnight, came back, did the next show, went straight to rehearsals, came back here…coupled with sore throat, swollen glands…. Put it all together and five hours dancing is a lot,” Vanderpump told press after the show.
She said it was definitely disorienting to faint on the dance floor, but it was worse to re-live it.
“That was weird,” Lisa said. “I didn’t even like seeing that on playback because I felt so vulnerable and I was like ‘Please take it out,’ and they were like, ‘No it’s a reality – you might not show your best moments but definitely show your worst.”
Although she looked as though she was in full health at tonight’s result show, she scoffed a bit at compliments.
“It’s just smoke and mirrors,” she laughed.
Vanderpump detailed her various responsibilities, including new and existing restaurants and the new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“Sometimes you regret the thing you don’t do and not the things you do do and that’s why I danced last night,” Vanderpump said of her ill-advised decision to dance.
However, she said she is ready to move forward.
“There were certain amounts of relief, to be honest,” Lisa said. “I did it. It’s the fourth week of the competition. We knew we weren’t going to win. I’m competing against an Olympian and a 16-year-old dancer.”
And Gleb? He said his plan is to get drunk tonight.
