Michael Imperioli is headed to Californication.

The Emmy-winning Sopranos alum has just booked a multi-episode arc on the seventh season of the Showtime comedy starring David Duchovny as Hank Moody. Imperioli is set to play Rick Rath, a “successful old-school television producer who will play a key role in Hank’s latest venture,” according to the network.

Imperioli most recently made guest appearances on Girls and Necessary Roughness, and his most recent television starring role was on ABC’s Detroit 1-8-7.

Production on the new 12-episode season of Californication is set to begin later this month and will air next year.
