The grueling task of learning two full dances proved to be too much for one Star, who will not be returning to the ballroom after this week’s elimination.
The Bachelor, Sean Lowe, was not handed a rose at the end of tonight’s shocking results show. After Kellie and Derek were (gasp!) revealed to be in jeopardy it seemed like anything could happen. But ultimately Sean’s low scores could no longer be ignored.
Left on the show perhaps longer than he deserved despite his obvious lack of skill, Lowe said there was no doubt of his elimination tonight.
“We were kind of prepared for it anyway because we had the lowest scores last night. But when they said Ingo was safe I knew that our time was up.”
He seemed to be a bit relieved to not be returning to the long hours of rehearsal and performances.
“I feel fine. We had such a good time and spent so many great hours together. I think I accomplished pretty much everything I wanted to accomplish. I’m okay to go home tonight.”
Lowe said that his favorite part of his experience on Dancing was getting to know partner Peta Murgatroyd.
“Honestly, it’s been her. She’s incredible and she’s worked her butt off to make me a somewhat decent dancer. And the whole time she teaches, she’s also a friend. We have a great time together and we have a great dynamic and we’re always laughing and having a good time. I truly will miss her.”
Tears came to Peta’s eyes as Sean described their relationship, and the two shared a big hug. But apparently her teaching skills didn’t make Sean want to become a pro himself.
“I’m going to take a break from dancing for a little bit.”
Lowe said he didn’t have any immediate plans, but was looking forward to taking some time off to spend time with fiancée Catherine Giudici and his dogs. He also has a wedding to plan, but said nothing is set in stone. As for the future, Sean said he is open to anything.
“I’d like to be on Jeopardy. I’d like to take Alex Trebek’s job. Who do I submit my application to?”
