Geek auteur Joss Whedon has crafted beloved cult TV shows, endearingly low-budget experiments which prominently feature Nathan Fillion, and also that one ridiculously popular movie about witty-banter action figures. But now, Whedon is embarking on his most exciting and dangerous journey yet. As of about nine hours ago, Whedon has joined Twitter, with the handle @JossActual. (Although not yet Twitter Verified, the account has been Sister-In-Law Verified.) Whedon is already busy with a wide variety of projects – Avengers 2, Agents of SHIELD, the impending release of Much Ado About Nothing, the Firefly reboot you keep trying to will into existence, the Dollhouse reboot we just invented – but the writer/director is already twittering away on the tweetbox:

Whedon is joining Twitter the same day that the internet saw the first promo of Agents of SHIELD. A good season for Whedon crop!
