”She’s this beautiful Cinderella story,” says Bachelorette host Chris Harrison of 27-year-old aspiring bridal-gown designer Desiree Hartsock, the fan favorite jilted by Bachelor Sean Lowe. Her search for happily-ever-after begins yet again when ABC’s The Bachelorette premieres May 27 at 8 p.m. The potential Prince Charmings will be put through their reality TV paces: They’ll perform in a special Soulja Boy video (song title: ”Right Reasons”), participate in an ultracompetitive game of dodgeball (”We had a few guys get hurt, one of them pretty seriously,” Harrison says), and vie for the title of ”The Bachelorette‘s Mr. America” (”There’s not a lot left to the imagination,” he promises). Here, Harrison previews six suitors to watch during Des’ drama-fueled fairy tale.

Former pro soccer player

”If you could conjure up a character of a Latin stud on this show, it’s him. He’s everything that a guy would hate — the thick accent, he’s good-looking, he’s athletic, he’s got it all. You really want to hate this guy, but you can’t. Week in and week out, you gotta like him, and so does Des. She definitely likes him. You’ll see right away, they have chemistry. The question is, Is there something more? Is there something that can last between them?”

Federal prosecutor

”He’s not shy about confrontation — that’s what he does for a living. He uses his court abilities to stir things up and get to the bottom of some situations. It’s really interesting to watch him go through this. The guys like him, but he does know how to push buttons.”

BEN, 28

”He’s a Southern gentleman, one of our four single dads. He had his son [Brody, age 4] come [to the set], and it’s just the cutest, most adorable moment from night 1 that will melt your heart. He’s that guy you can tell is ready to settle down; he wants a mother for his son. He wants the love of his life. But he’s very confident, and there’s that fine line between being confident and cocky.”

ZAK W., 31
Drilling fluid engineer

”I don’t think that [job title] is a sexual reference. On night 1, he’s like, ‘Hi, I’m Zak, I’m a drilling fluid engineer.’ How do you respond to that? He’s funny: He steps out of the limo shirtless. He asks Des, ‘Will you accept these abs?’ He’s a guy who will grow on you and has the personality and the sense of humor to recover from that night 1 move.”

Financial adviser

”He’s suave, debonair, slick. He is a guy who definitely has a past that we will deal with, and it has to do with, Is he serious about being here? By the second or third week, he goes overboard telling Des he’s very sincere and he can’t wait to get into this, and early on, we have an issue of: Is this guy for real? Is he really who he says he is?”

Advertising executive

”He’s a Cuban Casanova, and the big question with him is, Is he just this smooth-talking Latino heartthrob — too good to be true — or is he one of these guys who’s really there for ‘sincere reasons,’ as we like to say? I think you’ll figure out pretty quickly what his intentions are and if he’s really there for Des…. You can’t have 25 guys and not have a few that are gonna be there for the wrong reasons. There’s always gonna be trouble, and this season is no different.”
