Man pulls knife near 'Today Show' set

An unidentified man in his 50s pulled a knife and began cutting his wrists and arms near the Rockefeller Plaza set of the Today show this morning, according to New York City Police. NBC security confronted and disarmed the man, and Matt Lauer reported on the air that the man was attempting to injure himself. Fortunately, no one else was injured.

Amateur photography posted on hypervocal.com from a Twitter user named @SirAnduck captured the man being taken down by security. The man, who was without identification, was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital.
