Sometimes, things — even good things — fall between the cracks.

Thriftstore Masterpiece, however, wants to start scooping them back up: the supergroup collective, whose guests include Frank Black of the Pixies, Modest Mouse’s Isaac Brock, and Dandy Warhols frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor, aims to take history’s “underdog records” and reinterpret them with new artists.

The first album in the project’s series is Lee Hazlewood’s 1963 debut Trouble Is a Lonesome Town, and it includes Pete Yorn’s rendition of “Six Feet of Chain,” which you can hear exclusively here.

The album is due July 9; for more information on the Thriftstore Masterpiece project, visit their Facebook page.
