'Divergent' author Veronica Roth to release e-stories from Four's point-of-view

Divergent Theo James

(Jaap Buitendijk)

For Divergent fans that can’t get enough of Tris’s hunky love interest Four (real name, Tobias), readers won’t have to wait until the release of the third series installment or the movie to satisfy the itch. Author of the dystopian saga Veronica Roth plans to release four e-stories told from Four’s point-of-view.

The first mini-story, titled The Transfer, will explore Four’s backstory through his 16-year-old perspective, and the history of the Chicago-set futuristic world prior to Choosing Day, which takes place in the first book.

Roth’s trilogy has already landed on book and movie radars, with the stars of the film adaption, Shailene Woodley and Theo James, gracing the latest EW cover, and the book series success potentially measuring up to giant YA franchises, such as Twilight and The Hunger Games.

The first installment will be 30 pages and will cost $1.99. The Transfer will be available September 24, almost a month before the debut of the hardcover third book in the trilogy, Allegiant.

Look out for the other e-stories (The Initiate, The Son, and The Traitor) on December 17, January 21, and February 11.
