Aaron, oh, Aaron – what are we going to do with you?
If you’re a particularly angry New Kid on the Block fan from Boston, the answer, apparently, is: Beat him up. According to a conversation with TMZ, onetime tween pop star Aaron Carter says he was jumped by an extremely NKOTB-loyal crew in Boston over the weekend.
Carter, who was in town for his “After Party” concert tour, said he was in a parking lot when a man approached him and allegedly said, “I heard you’re doing a show here tomorrow. This is the town of the New Kids,” and then he and three other men proceeded to beat Carter up – which Carter documented on Instagram.
In a story already full of weirdness (boy-bander Carter gets you angry enough to start a fight, even though you love boy bands?) that also seems to come straight out of either 1991 or 2000 (Pick your relevance year!) one of the biggest shocks might be the lack of fan solidarity: Carter’s big brother Nick is a member of the Backstreet Boys, who have toured in the past with New Kids on the Block.
Note to the assailants: This isn’t how you prove you’re hangin’ tough. But this is:
