David Wright, David Ortiz, and… Mariah Carey?

The “#Beautiful” singer joined the roster for Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game festivities with a scheduled performance at NYC’s Central Park on Saturday, July 13. (The game itself will be held the Tuesday afterward.) Carey will be backed up by the New York Philharmonic at the show, which will be the centerpiece of the MLB All-Star Charity Concert benefitting victims of last year’s Superstorm Sandy.

Tickets to the event will be free (given away here starting Wednesday), with MLB donating $1 million to Sandy relief efforts. Carey, who currently has no other live performances scheduled, will be releasing her fourteenth studio album, The Art of Letting Go, on July 23.
