Does your significant other often fall asleep on the couch? In the mood for a laugh and maybe a slap in the face? Just follow James Williams’ lead and spend weeks crafting a life-size puppet of Samara from The Ring to conduct the world’s most terrifying prank.

When Williams’ girlfriend fell asleep, he thought that it would be funny to attach Puppet Samara to the telly and wake his darling up. What happened next? Well, you could imagine:

He’s lucky that her face didn’t end up like this. The girlfriend was definitely scared out of her mind — and rightly so. I don’t know about you, but I count The Ring as one of the scariest movies of all time. The image of a soaking wet girl climbing out of a television to scare you to death along with the creepy whisper “seven days” is enough to send shivers up my spine. So imagine what it must have been like to see that first thing out of an otherwise relaxing nap.

But maybe I’m just overreacting. I still have nightmares about Jacob Marley from when I saw A Christmas Carol in third grade. Is James Williams an evil prankster with no soul or just a hilarious guy who manages to keep things interesting in his relationship?
